PMA’s 10th Annual General Meeting – Alhamdulillah, A Beautiful Gathering!

Alhamdulillah, with the mercy of Allah ﷻ and the support of our wonderful community, PMA successfully held its 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM). The event was filled with positivity, unity, and a shared vision for the future. 

 Financial Highlights & Achievements:
 18% increase in donations from 2023 to 2024 – this amazing growth reflects the generosity and commitment of our members. 
 Friday food sales were a huge success and played an important role in supporting PMA’s projects and activities.
 48% increase in recyclable donations – showing our community’s dedication not only to supporting PMA but also to caring for the environment .

 Elections & Leadership:
During the AGM, we were pleased to announce that all four nominated individuals were reelected to their positions:
Jameel Ahmad – Vice President
Saleem Qureshi – Finance Secretary
Abu Saeed – Chair of Maintenance
Mrs. Zahida Mehmood – Chair of Sisters’ Affairs

President’s Address:
Our President, Mr. Sohrab Khan, presented a detailed review of PMA’s past events, achievements, and community programs. He also shared exciting upcoming expansion plans, giving everyone a glimpse of our vision for the future 

Spiritual & Social Moments:
The meeting concluded with a heartfelt dua led by Br. Hafiz Altaf, which touched the hearts of everyone present.
Afterwards, we all enjoyed delicious refreshments  — a perfect opportunity to connect, share ideas, and strengthen our community bonds.

Dear Community Members,

The Prairie Muslim Association’s Annual General Body Meeting and Election will be held on Sunday, August 10, after Zuhr prayer in the PMA Mosque.
The report of financial statements will be presented at the AGM.
Only members in good standing may attend and vote.
DEADLINE FOR BEING “Member in Good Standing/New Membership”: July 10, 2025.
Existing Members (Renewal): July 10, 2025.
The following four positions on the Board of Directors will need to be filled in the upcoming elections; all posts are for a two-year term.

1. Vice President
2. Chair Finance
3. Chair Maintenance
4. Chair Sisters Affairs

All members who have served one year in shura (advisory committee) are encouraged to fill out the nomination form. The form is attached.

Criteria of selection for Board of Directors.
1. Served in Shura or Management for at least one Year.

The agenda of the AGM is as follows;

• Tilawat (Recitation) of Quran Majeed.
• President to call the meeting to order.
• Approval of agenda.
• Approval of minutes of AGM (held on Sunday, November 03, 2024).
• Business arising from minutes, if any.
• Report of the Financial Statement.
• Report from the President.
• Elections of management for open positions.
• Other business, if any.
• Adjournment.
